A great opportunity to learn to meditate with the highly respected Oxford Mindfulness Centre is Associated with Oxford University Department of Psychiatry.

They are offering free weekly online mindfulness sessions led by one of their Masters students. In addition, on the first Wednesday of the month they will have a guest mindfulness teacher or researcher from around the world. Both the weekly practice and the guest sessions are completely free and open to those who have not had any previous mindfulness training. You can join live groups via Zoom or look at previous podcasts if you have missed any of the sessions. There is also a free short course of three, one hour sessions via Zoom and supported with handouts titled “Introduction to Mindfulness for Life” to help you integrate mindfulness practice into your day.

Some of the sessions are aimed at anxiety and stress that may be provoked by the COVID-19 pandemic. Such as the first 4 podcasts: Finding Steadiness in Uncertain Times, Fear + Uncertainty = Anxiety; Working with Uncertainty, Connection When “Self-isolating” and “Social Distancing”, Everyday Mindfulness Practices Amid Extraordinary Times.
