…In 2009 Nicole Stott was blasted into space on a space shuttle and spent 3 months living on the International Space Station. Weightless and floating in front of a porthole gazing at the Earth she experienced what is known as the “overview effect”; beautiful, interconnected, wonder. An experience she says will stay with her for the rest of her life. She now reports that the closest thing on earth to the experience she had floating in front of that window is meditation and she practices daily!
